Twitter is abuzz saying that Hear the Ghost will be scratched from the Santa Anita Derby. I’m not sure if this is a short term or long term issue, but he should still have enough points to qualify for the Kentucky Derby. More details are sure to come, but hopefully it’s something minor and he won’t miss the Derby. It would be a terrible shame for the connections and the horse should he be unable to run in the Kentucky Derby. Time will tell.

UPDATE: According to an article posted on Paulick Report (http://www.paulickreport.com/news/thoroughbred-racing/hear-the-ghost-off-kentucky-derby-trail/#.UV3o6Riabmo.twitter), Hear the Ghost will need at least a month off and has been officially taken off the Kentucky Derby trail.
